Why Internet Marketers Love Outsourcing to the Philippines

By Mommy Mentor On August 15, 2011 No Comments

I have read about a lot of raving reviews from people of different nationalities about outsourcing to the Philippines. You can Google it and I know you can get a clear picture that they generally love dealing with “Phillipinos”.

The first advantage that we, Filipinos, have is that we can generally communicate well in the American English language. Others may ask me, “Is there any other type of English aside from those spoken by Americans?”. Yes, there are those used by the British, Australians, etc. What makes it any different? Filipinos are more familiar with the spelling, grammar, usage, etc. of the English language of those in the U.S. And although the quality of proficiency in the English language has deteriorated through the years, Filipinos are still better .

Pinoys are generally hardworking people. Since work at home jobs are appealing especially to stay at

Work From Home Jobs

By Mommy Mentor On July 3, 2011 1 Comment

There are a lot of people looking for work from home jobs but do not have a single idea what particular job to apply for. What they do know is that they want to create a happy balance between taking care of their families and earning some money.

My advice is for you to first assess what skills you have and start from there.

Do you have  a good command of the English language? Then you can apply as a writer. Web Content Writer, blogger, article writer, forum poster, etc., the job title varies but they basically mean one thing – a writing job.

Are you the type of person who knows that there is another meaning to PHP other than Philippine Peso? A techie who can figure out what Joomla,  XHTML, CSS, WordPress or CMS means? You may be in luck

Often Asked Work At Home Questions

By Mommy Mentor On May 25, 2010 10 Comments

I often get a barrage of queries on how to start earning online; most of them, however, are about getting online jobs. The top 3 questions I get are: 1) How much can you earn? 2) Where to find jobs online? 3) How to get started.

How much can one earn from working at home?

It depends on a lot of factors like your skills, time availability (or how much time you are willing to devote on the job), willingness to learn, and your asking price per hour or project.  The sad reality of working from home and being a freelancer is, unless someone hires you on a long term basis, it is often feast or famine. You basically determine your pay check.

For example: You are a writer. Your income goal is US$240/month and you can only work part time (around 20 hours/wk or 80 hrs/month).  This means you need to

Stay at Home Moms: Managers or CEOs?

By wacky mommy On March 17, 2010 No Comments

Well, we all play different roles at one time or another, but mothers play at least 2 or 3 roles at the same time. So, my answer to that question is both…yes, stay at home moms nowadays are multi-taskers. In fact I think multi-tasking started with the moms.

The stay at home moms are managers because they are in charge of the household. They take charge of the children’s needs and wants; they oversee the cooking, cleaning of the house, laundry and other chores around the home. At the same time, they are CEOs, (yes, the stay at home moms have evolved!) because now, they also run businesses from home. All they need is a computer, a reliable internet connection and a few hours daily, and voila, extra income is generated without having to put off their management responsibilities.

And the great thing about this is, they

Contentment At Work for Stay At Home Moms

By Mythical Mommy On March 5, 2010 No Comments

Being a mother is indeed a gift from God. Not all women have that privilege to conceive and bear a child. But being a mother doesn’t stop after giving birth. Having a baby is just the start of a bigger responsibility. After some time, there will be that struggle to go back to work and feel guilty in leaving your baby to someone else’s care. This is always a difficult time for any mother. We know in our minds that we have to go back to work especially now that we have a baby to support. And in our hearts we have that resentment because we can’t leave our baby.

This is the same reason why we now find a lot of moms working at home, moms looking for work from home jobs, setting up home based businesses and endlessly looking for
